TRAVEL INSTRUCTIONS
How to get to the conference venue from:
- the BRATISLAVA AIRPORT
Take the bus № 61 and get off at the “Račianske mýto” bus stop (which is the 17th stop from the airport). There you have to change for the bus № 34 to “Damborského” (which is the 13th stop from “Račianske mýto”) or tram № 5 (takes longer, a 60 minute ticket might not be enough).
- the BRATISLAVA MAIN RAILWAY STATION
Take the bus №
93 to the “SAV” bus stop (which is the 1st stop from the “Hlavná
stanica” bus stop). Cross the street and from the opposite “SAV” bus stop take
the bus № 83 to “Damborského” (which is the 8th stop from the “SAV” bus stop).
- the BRATISLAVA MAIN BUS STATION
Take the bus № 21 to “Patrónka” (which is the 4th stop from the “AS Mlynské nivy” bus stop). Change the bus for № 34 or № 83 to “Damborského” (which is the 4th stop from “Patrónka” bus stop).
- the VIENNA AIRPORT
Take the bus that leaves directly from the arrival hall exit:
- either the Eurolines bus, coming to the Bratislava bus station
“AS Mlynské nivy”. You can buy the ticket in the bus, the price is
6.5 € (payable only in euro, baggage has to be paid separately),
departure time is available here.
Then follow the instructions in 3.
- or the Blaguss line, the price is 4.5 € (departure time is available
here), coming to the traffic hub “Nový most” where you take the tram № 12 to “Damborského”. You need only 30 min (18 SKK) bus ticket.
- the BRATISLAVA PETRŽALKA RAILWAY STATION
After taking the
underground passage at the Petržalka railway station, cross the street and
take the bus №
91 or 191
to the traffic hub “Nový most” (the terminus of both buses) where you take
the tram №
12 to “Damborského”.
Tickets for the Bratislava public transport can be bought at newsstands or yellow vending machines at the bus stops. Since the conference venue is quite far away, you generally need 60 minute tickets (valid from the time you mark them in the bus/tram, for unlimited connections), which cost 22 SKK. After arriving to the bus/tram stop “Damborského”, cross the street through an underground passage, go back to a crossroad equipped with traffic lights, turn right and climb circa 10 metres, cross the parking lot and you reach the staircase of the conference venue “Inštitút pre verejnú správu”, street “M. Schneidra-Trnavského 1/A”. The path will hopefully be marked with “SLOVKO 2007” signs. The path is indicated by the orange line in this map.
You can also take a taxi. The place you want to get to is “Inštitút pre verejnú správu, M. Schneidra-Trnavského 1/A”.
